Trident Z5 CK Series Overclocked DDR5 CU-DIMM with Clock Driver, DDR5-9600, is now available from G.SKILL.
G.SKILL International Enterprise, the leading manufacturer of performance overclock memory and PC components worldwide, is pleased to announce the release of the Trident Z5 CK and Trident Z5 CK RGB series extreme overclock DDR5 CU-DIMM memory, which has a built-in clock driver (CKD) and a maximum overclock speed of DDR5-9600. The latest Intel Core Ultra 200 K-series desktop CPUs and Intel Z890 chipset motherboards are compatible with the Trident Z5 CK and Trident Z5 CK RGB series thanks to their mirrored black finish heatspreaders and capacity to push the boundaries of memory overclocking. The Trident Z5 CK and Trident Z5 CK RGB series DDR5-9600 memory kits are currently available for purchase on Newegg.com:
The New Generation of DDR5 Memory: DDR5 CU-DIMM
The Trident Z5 CK and Trident Z5 CK RGB series are based on the new CU-DIMM standard, which incorporates a built-in clock driver (CKD) chip into the memory module. By strengthening communications between the CPU and memory IC chips, the CKD is meant to increase stability in high-speed memory operations.DDR5-9000 Extreme Overclock Speed (Gear 2)
Additionally, G.SKILL is manufacturing a DDR5-9000 CL42-56-56-144 ultimate DDR5 CU-DIMM memory kit specification with a 48GB (2x24GB) total capacity, intended for severe overclockers. The screenshot below displays the high-speed overclock RAM using the ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 Apex motherboard and an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K desktop processor in Gear 2 mode:Outstanding CU-DIMM Performance Up To DDR5-9600 (Gear 4)
Using CU-DIMM in Gear 4 mode, the R&D team at G.SKILL, which is always pushing the limits of memory overclock speeds, has set a new benchmark of DDR5-9600 CL46-58-58 48GB (2x24GB). See the amazing overclock speed being attained with the latest ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF motherboard and Intel Core Ultra 7 265K desktop CPU in the screenshot below.Dual-Channel CU-DIMM Memory OC Potential DDR5-10000
G.SKILL Trident Z5 CK memory has demonstrated the CU-DIMM's memory overclock capability by achieving an overclock speed of DDR5-10000 in dual-channel mode on air cooling with both Apex and ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF motherboards. The screenshots below demonstrate system stability under the ASUS motherboard's Memtest stress test and the ASRock motherboard's AIDA64 bandwidth benchmark. This was achieved by additional BIOS tuning across CPU and memory settings, including voltage and complex memory timing adjustments.
Elegant Flagship Family Design for Trident Z5
The sleek mirrored black heatspreaders of the Trident Z5 CK and Trident Z5 CK RGB series, which adhere to the design language of the premier performance Trident Z5 family, give your PC build a classy appearance. They are topped with either a piano black top bar or a semi-translucent RGB light bar.Availability and Support for Intel XMP 3.0
Approved G.SKILL distributors and shops will be able to purchase the Trident Z5 CK and Trident Z5 CK RGB series DDR5 CU-DIMM memory kits, which support the Intel XMP 3.0 memory overclock profile, starting in October 2024.FAQs
CU-DIMM: What is it?
CU-DIMM is an acronym for a clocked unbuffered dual in-line memory module. There is an inbuilt clock driver (CKD) in this most recent iteration of DDR5 memory. This CKD chip enhances signal integrity between the CPU and memory chips, enabling quicker speeds and more reliable performance as compared to traditional DDR5 modules.
What distinguishing characteristics set the Trident Z5 CK series apart?
The built-in clock driver (CKD) boosts signal strength and stability for severe overclocking.
Extreme Overclocking Speeds: Available up to DDR5-9600, these speeds push the boundaries of DDR5 performance.
Sleek Design: This heatspreader features a piano black or semi-translucent RGB light bar and a mirrored black finish, continuing the Trident Z5 family's aesthetic.
Support for Intel XMP 3.0: This enables automatic overclocking and easy setup on motherboards that are compatible.
