The tiny PC AtomMan X7 Ti
Minisforum announced the AtomMan X7 Ti, a high-end micro PC with Intel's Core Ultra 9 processor and a 4-inch touchscreen display. With its remarkable features, which include an 8-core Arc Iris Xe iGPU, a 16-core CPU, and multiple connectivity options like OCUlink for eGPU compatibility, the X7 Ti is made to appeal to a wide spectrum of customers.
On May 20 at 19:00 PST, Minisforum's newest Intel-powered high-end mini PC, the AtomMan X7 Ti, will formally go on sale.
The X7 is powered by Intel's Core Ultra 9 185H CPU, which has 16 cores and 22 threads with a maximum boost rate of 5.1 GHz. The 16 cores consist of six performance cores based on the Redwood design and ten efficiency cores based on the Crestmont architecture. The performance of this CPU will depend on how the system handles heat, which Minisforum has handled by utilising triple copper heat pipes along with a cooling fan. On the other hand, impartial testing will provide more insight into how effectively it functions in real-world applications.
The X7 Ti solely uses the Arc Iris Xe iGPU, which features 8 Xe cores (128 EUs) and 8 RT cores for hardware-accelerated ray tracing. Though not designed with gamers in mind, its performance which is comparable to an RTX 2050 laptop GPU may not live up to their expectations, despite being outstanding for an iGPU. However, as OCulink enables transfer speeds up to 64 Gbps, customers seeking for additional GPU capability can resort to eGPU options like the OneXGPU 7600M XT eGPU (now $835 on Amazon).
Memory and storage choices include two DDR5 5600 MT/s SODIMM slots supporting up to 96 GB of memory and dual M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 slots supporting up to 4 terabytes of flash storage. There are multiple options for communication, including two 5G RJ45 ethernet ports, one SD card slot, three USB 3.2 Type-A connections, HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.0 for up to four 4K external monitors, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. An embedded 1080p camera with Windows Hello functionality is also available.
When it comes to wireless connectivity, the X7 Ti has Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Surprisingly, the gadget also has a 4-inch touchscreen integrated into the chassis, which, albeit being somewhat of a gimmick, adds to its overall beauty and offers capabilities like system monitoring and personalised themes.
